How fate plays its part in our life

It's Monday morning. You woke up 5 minutes late. You had your cereal, some milk spilled on your pants. Drove to work, few angry cars beamed you up 1 km away when you're driving 120 km/h on the road already, and you sped up. Arrived at the parking lot, last minute make up adjustments. You walked towards your office. Suddenly, WHAMM! A car out of nowhere hit you from a blindspot.
What does this got to do with fate? Think again. What if you didn't wake up late today? What if that milk didn't spill on your pants? What if those drivers didn't beam you? What if you stayed longer to adjust your make up?
If only one of those tiny moments will make a difference. If only you'd wake up earlier. If only you'd eat a toast. If only you'd drive slower. If only you'd just get out from your car, and head to office. If only things happened differently..
The big question is, do you want it to change? Let me tell you my answer. No. I wouldn't change anything that has happened in my life, be it bitter, be it sore. I wouldn't want to erase that painful memory I had with my ex. I wouldn't want to avoid hitting the divider in Cyberjaya. I wouldn't want to forget how painful it is to have my first surgery. Some of you may ask, why wouldn't I want my painful memories be removed from my life? Simple. It made me who I am now. And I won't trade it for the world.
You see, when you pray for something from God (eg. Please God, grant me wealth and richness dunia and akhirat), God listened, and He answered. But in 2 forms. The first form; He will give you what you need, not what you want. God is fair to each and everyone of us. Everything that you have, that you own, are just enough for you, no matter how insufficient you think it is. Just enough air for everyone, just enough time to do work, just enough energy to roam the earth. Everything is nicely balanced, up till atomic and subatomic level of life. Not only talking about blessings, but problems and mishaps as well. You won't be given what you can't handle. Because He created you, He knows how far you can go and how much you can take it. It's up to you how you're going to maneuvre and accept it. Conclusion is, you won't get what you want, but you'll get what you need.
Second form; everything that we asked from our God, won't appear just like that. Let's say you prayed for patience and to find your true love. God won't go like "Okay, here you go. 1 patience and true love for you". NO! What He will do is He will grant you the OPPORTUNITY to gain what you wished for. You will have to work yourself to seize and capture that opportunity. After going through the hardships, then you will bear the fruit of your labour. Maybe with a little stumble along the way. In a relationship, I always ask God "If she is not meant for me, please separate our heart apart". As simple as that. And often, God shows me the way, in forms of me catching her cheating on me. Haha. Well, better now than after the wedding right?
So, that's all about fate and opportunities. This post requires a bit of thinking. I hope you guys still have some power to think on Mondays. Haha.. Till next time.
That's all folks!
