A meaningful one

Brian McFadden - Like Only A Woman Can

I wasn’t perfect
I’ve done a lot of stupid things
Still no angel
I wasn’t looking for forgiveness
Wasn’t laid out by my pride
Shocked by her attention
And someone signed me up for love
I didn’t want it
And now I can’t live without it

She changed my life
She cleaned me up
She found my heart
Like only a woman can
She pulls me up
When she knows I’m sad
She knows her man
Like only a woman can

She’s kind of perfect
She’s kind of everything I’m not
Yeah, she’s an angel
And it’s amazing how she’s patient
Even more at times I’m not
She’s my conscience
And who decided I’d be hers
I wanna hate them
Cos now I can’t live without her

She changed my life
She cleaned me up
She found my heart
Like only a woman can
She pulls me up
When she knows I’m sad
She knows her man
Like only a woman can

Like only a woman can
And who decided I’d be hers
I wanna hate them
Cos now I can’t live without her

Oh, and she changed my life
She cleaned me up
She found my heart
Like only a woman can
She pulls me up
When she knows I’m sad
She knows her man
Like only a woman can

Like only a woman can
Like only a woman can
Like only a woman
Like only a woman can

Isn't this song lovely? I'd really want to dedicate this song to someone. Hope she's out there listening.

The big night

A big night tonight. Manchester United vs Barcelona in Champions League Final. Who will emerge victorious? Will Man Utd retain their title, or will it be Barcelona's turn to bask in glory this season? Find out at 4.45 am tomorrow!

It's been 24 hrs since I last slept, not because I have sleeping disorders, but because I was too eager in anticipation, that I thought last night was Man Utd's match. Bummer. Haha. I shall be more careful next time. Silly, silly me.

When I was having lunch just now, I saw the most peculiar thing. See this:

What the hell is that woman (yeah, it's a she) doing using straw as her stylus? I'm sorry for whoever in this picture, but that is so wrong. Go buy a freaking stylus! It won't cost you more than RM 20. Stop using other sharp objects as stylus. WTH???

In another story, I've made someone very happy last night. At least I thought I did. And, I think she wasn't expecting it, because I told her it would be creepy crawlies inside (specifically, cockroaches). She totally bought it. LL, you're such an L girl. But that's what makes you adorable :) Hehe. Here's a sneak peek:

Isn't that rose lovely? It was my first time sending flowers oversea. Came with a vase. I hope it'd last long. It was her favourite colour too :)

Wonder why our mum's cooking tastes better than outside food, everytime?

Happy Mondaytitis everyone!

Last night when I was talking with someone, this topic got brought up. She doesn't agree with me, but here goes the theory. I'll show her why!

Eversince we were small little toddlers, our mum cooked for us. After a day of cleaning up our mess, it's time to hit the kitchen. So, without wasting much time, she starts chopping off the onion, some vege, anchovies, et voila! The bestest soup in the world is on the dining table ready to be consumed by hungry mouths. Seems simple isn't it? Think again.

Everytime she's cooking, her sweat and saliva droplets fall onto the food. Don't believe me? Take a real close look when she's in the kitchen. You think all the chopping and grinding won't make her sweat? And the loud scream when you're smacking your brother with a wooden chair in the living room, what? A dry scream? Only air comes out from her trachea?

See, my theory was, those saliva and droplets have some chemical/hormone in it, one that makes you recognize your mum's cooking. No matter how good someone can cook for you, or how similar, you somehow can still differentiate between your mum's cooking, and someone else's. It's true, don't deny it. Especially you, LL. Ask your mum. She'll tell you the same thing :P

But no matter what, I don't care. Mum's cooking are the best!

Total satisfaction

When I was sitting on my throne just now, this thought crossed my mind.

I asked my friend, what's the best feeling in the world. She said that the best feeling in the world is satisfaction. I told her, yea, you're right. But what kind of satisfaction?

The answer is, the satisfaction after you've taken a dump. The common satisfaction that we all share all across the universe. No matter how rich or poor, skin colour, gender, age, uni cells, multi cells. After we went for a dump, a bright smile will surface, with "I feel much better now" written all over your face.

With the exception of people with hemorrhoid of course. I feel sorry for you guys. Really, I do :(

The stomach ache

In the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur, there I was, in the middle of it. Wandering around aimlessly, waiting for my uncle to drop me my car keys.

Suddenly I noticed a grumble. Slow at first. Then it started to build up. Getting louder, and louder. At the peak of that noise, I lost it. A small cloud of gas came out of nowhere. Oh it was warm. I farted.

Yes you've guessed it. I'm having a stomach ache.

A quick whiff

I had a quick smoke break downstairs just now. With coffee in 1 hand, I walked to the smokers designated area.

While lighting my ciggie up, comes an Indian guy (lets call him Uncle), in his mid 50s joining me for a smoke. A quick conversation (in Malay) was triggered:

Me: *takes ciggie and lights it up*

Uncle: *huff puff*

Me:
*puts the ciggie box at the side*

Uncle:
*looking at the box* Apa yang diorang taruk dekat kotak rokok ni orang takkan berhenti hisap rokok punya.

Me:
*looks at Uncle accompanied by a quick laugh* Ya lah Uncle. Betul tu. Buang duit saja print gambar-gambar tu.

Uncle:
Gambar-gambar tu semua tipu la. Itu bukannya sebab rokok. Uncle dah 35 tahun hisap rokok, takda apa-apa pun

Me:
*in amazement* Wah Uncle. Lamanya sudah hisap rokok.

Uncle:
Ya lah, dari sekolah menengah lagi. Sekarang saya sudah masuk 50. Sebenarnya kalau hisap rokok ni, asap tak masuk pun paru-paru

Me:
*eyes wide open* Macam mana tu Uncle?

Uncle:
*takes a deep huff* Itu macam baru masuk dalam paru-paru. *takes a short huff* Kalau hisap ini macam tak masuk paru-paru la. Sampai tekak saja.

Me:
*bedazzled* Oh. Itu macam ka Uncle. Hahaha.. Patutlah Uncle tadak mati lagi

Uncle:
*laughed* Betul la. Lagipun kalau tak hisap rokok pun boleh kena kanser juga apa. Berapa banyak orang tak hisap rokok mati sebab kanser.

Me:
*nodds head*

Uncle:
Dulu rokok saya hisap 25 sen 10 batang. Manyak sejuk itu rokok. Kalau makan dengan gula-gula angin, fuyoo, lagi sejuk.

Me:
*short laugh* Ya la Uncle.

Uncle:
*finishes up his last puff* Oklah, saya pergi dulu aa

Me:
Ok Uncle. Jumpa lagi.

Although I agree with him saying "orang tak hisap rokok pun boleh mati sebab kanser", I'm still pondering how does inhaling smoke doesn't affect your lungs. WTF..

The update

Today feels like a good day for a big update, yes?

Let's start with work. Changed job from IBM to HP. As all the IBMers have told me, "same shit, different pay". Haha.. Anyway, it's a 180 degrees, well more like 90 degrees change of environment. From managing Malaysian Public Sector accounts to Australian SMB accounts.

Everything else changes. Fun? Yeah. Early riser? Also yeah. Traffic? What traffic? Haha.. Work now starts at 7 am - 3.30 pm after Daylight Savings Time is off, and 6 am - 2.30 pm if it is on. Different holidays, different cultures. Currently I'm still in learning mode, will soon be online in Australia. Good day mate!

Football. Hmm.. What else to say. Manchester United is the EPL champion for a consecutive 3 years back-to-back. It was really a nailbiting season, especially after Liverpool crushed United in Old Trafford. Those lads were really down, and you can tell from the 2 games afterwards. But thanks to Kiko Macheda, we got our spirit back up again, and winning the EPL title with 1 game in hand. Glory Glory Man United!

Personal life. Well, not much has happened after the break up in December. Been on a couple of dates, nothing fancy there. However, there is one person (I think) that I am giving a serious consideration. So far, she complies to my strict rules and regulations. Let's just see how it goes and I'll update here.
Entertainment. Summer of 2009 is bringing crazy stuffs from Hollywood to the silver screen. 4 particular movies I would like to highlight are Star Trek, Wolverine, Angels and Demons, and Transformers. I've watched the first two, and so far, Star Trek is wayyyyy up there. Wolverine is good, but Star Trek is better. The storyline, the casting, the light comedy, the action and the intense emotion all adds up to a good movie. Kudos to the director for making the movie watchable for non Star Trek geeks. But the most anticipated movie in 2009 has got to be Transformers. Man, if Star Trek made USD 75 m on its opening day, I can imagine Transformers making double that amount, easily. Autobots, transform!

Politics. Albeit I hate politics as much as I hate taugeh, ironically, both are a necessity in one way or another. Malaysian royal rumble in Perak. Boy, what an embarrassing story to tell my kids. What will happen if you put power crazy lunatics in 1 place? You got flying chairs. Oh boy, it is amazing how low can a person go to gain/keep their power in Malaysia. It is just pathetic. Where have all the rationale and self control gone to? Please come back, and save these monkeys from further humiliating themselves.

News. After the Chikugunya wave have subsided, it's the piggy's turn to make a comeback. Swine flu (I don't care what WHO think. Swine is still a swine. Screw yourself) is another disease that comes from pig. Man, if we can make a list of illness that can come from this creature, it would reach hundreds. And yet, we are still breeding it for food. Disgusting filthy creatures that eat its own faeces, and yet people still find it delicious. No offense, but what the heck? Swine flu is growing at an alarming rate. It will reach global pandemic alert anytime now. With 2 cases in Malaysia, I think I will need to wear a mask soon. Kill all the pigs and eat chicken!

Well I think that's all I can think of now. I will write more soon. Till then,

That's all folks!
